Remodeling and Construction in Newark

We had Charlie come over to take a look at a fairly new redwood deck. It was looking kind of haggard and was only 2 years old. Charlie and his crew sanded it and cleaned it up and re-stained it. Looks great. We were thinking about having the house painted inside and out so requested quotes for both. We decided go with the outside first. The crew was totally professional, cleaning up daily. And easy to work with. I highly recommend Bay Villa Builders for any work you need around the house.

We hired Bay Villa Builders to redo our yard that needed a lot of work and they did a phenomenal job! Charlie always made sure to keep constant communication with us to make sure we were on the same page as the project went along. They got the project done ahead of schedule and we’ve been loving our new backyard ever since!

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Bay Villa Builders on several projects as the plumbing contractor, and they are an excellent general contractor to work with. Plumbing can be one of the more challenging trades on a job site, but the level of detail, planning, and clear information they provide for each project makes our job much easier. Their organization, communication, and professionalism really stand out. It’s always a smooth experience working with their team, and I look forward to collaborating on more projects in the future.

Super detailed, thoughtful, and consultative. Have worked with other places in the past and their approach is very refreshing.

Earlier this year, my parents hired Charlie for a full backyard renovation and hardscaping project, and the whole experience turned out great from beginning to end. Everything came together really well, and the final result looks amazing, exactly what they had in mind. Charlie was easy to work with the entire time. He stayed in touch, kept things organized, and made sure the project kept moving without any issues. It made the whole interaction feel pretty seamless and his constant communication throughout the process was extremely helpful! Overall, I'm really happy with how it all turned out and would definitely recommend Charlie and his team to anyone thinking about updating their backyard or doing hardscaping work.

Charlie came in with a vision helped us understand the idea with images he had previous. I didn't have experience with renovations so he walked us through the whole process and was very knowledgeable on materials and the steps needed to finish the job. Charlie kept ahead of any material shortages and made sure we always had everything ordered and ready to go. I will definitely use his help with future projects!

Great young business owner! Known him for a while in the business world. He’s a stand up guy!

We had a great experience working with Charlie and his team on both our front and backyard! Charlie was super professional, responsive, and understanding throughout the entire process. We didn’t have every detail figured out going in, and he was really helpful in talking us through different options and helping us make decisions along the way. His team worked incredibly hard and quickly, and we’re so happy with how everything turned out. They completely transformed our outdoor spaces and made them feel so much more usable and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend Charlie and his team to anyone looking to get landscaping work done!

Charlie Villalobos is a dedicated, trustworthy, and professional individual. He and his team delivered quality work on time, communicated clearly, and exceeded my expectations. Any time I needed his help, he was there for me. Highly recommended!

I had a great experience working with Charlie and his team on my yard paver project. Charlie is a licensed contractor who runs his business professionally. From the beginning, everything was well organized. We signed a detailed contract through DocuSign that clearly outlined the scope of work, materials, pricing, and project details. I appreciated the transparency and knew exactly what to expect. Charlie offered fair and reasonable pricing and shared a lot of helpful knowledge about pavers, edging, drainage, irrigation, and materials. He patiently answered my questions and helped me make informed decisions throughout the project. His crew did a great job with the installation. They were professional, respectful, and paid close attention to detail. The finished patio turned out beautifully, and I was very happy with the quality of their work. In fact, as the project was nearing completion, two of my neighbors walked by, really liked my new yard pavement, and asked for Charlie’s contact information. During the project, I had a few questions and requested a small adjustment. Charlie listened to my concerns and made sure they were addressed. Although he was out of town on vacation, he arranged for his crew to come back promptly to fix it. They did an excellent job, and I really appreciated that he stood behind his team’s work and wanted to make sure I was satisfied. What impressed me most was Charlie’s communication and the way he managed the project. He was honest, responsive, and focused on doing the job right. It was clear that he cares about both the quality of the work and his customers’ experience. If you’re looking for a licensed contractor who is knowledgeable, organized, offers fair pricing, and stands behind his work, I would definitely recommend Charlie and his team.

Charlie and his crew were fantastic to work with. They remodeled my fireplace, installed new flooring, and added beautiful wainscoting — all with excellent craftsmanship. They were dependable, clean, professional, and their attention to detail is outstanding. As a longtime real estate broker, they’re easily the best team I’ve worked with, and my go‑to moving forward. I feel completely confident referring them to my clients.

As the plumbing contractor with GPMplumbing, I’ve had a great experience working with Bay Villa Builders. Their professionalism, organization, and clear communication make the job much easier for the trades. Always a smooth process working with their team. 👍

Huge thanks to Charlie and his crew for our new pergola! We decided to include recessed lighting and fans and it completely changed how much we use our backyard. Before this we were relying on umbrellas for shade and a little flood light. Now the space is actually comfortable to use day and night and year- round (we roll a portable firepit on cold days)- we love it! The job only took about a week, everything was clean and professional, and the quality is great. Charlie was friendly and made the process nice and easy. Highly recommend!

I worked with Charlie on a hardscaping project and a full backyard redo, and overall the experience was excellent from start to finish. The project went incredibly well, and the final result is high quality, beautiful, and exactly what I was hoping for. Charlie was super communicative throughout the entire process and did a great job managing the project. He was organized, responsive, and made sure everything stayed on track. I really appreciated how smooth the whole experience felt under his leadership. The crew was also fantastic — respectful, professional, and always kept the work area clean. You could tell they took pride in their work and were thoughtful about my space. I’m very happy with the outcome and would absolutely recommend Charlie and his team to anyone looking to redo their backyard or tackle a hardscaping project.

I own a floor retail store and have been working with Charlie for years. He is a great guy who comes through and his clients are always satisfied. If you want someone who provides service and cares for his clients, this is your guy.

The team was able to get me a quote quickly and kept open communication throughout the kitchen remodel. And they cleaned up after themselves it was amazing! Can't express enough how valuable it is to find a quality and honest contractor. Highly recommend reaching out to Bay Villa.
